Experience
By focusing on authenticity and relevance, I build integrated communications plans that help my clients rise above hype, and earn and sustain the trust and advocacy of all stakeholders vital to success, all the while looking good.
I cut my PR teeth at a prestigious public relations agency in Atlanta where I was hired to work in the public affairs practice area but I mostly worked on securing aisles seats and vegetarian meals on planes for the Senior Account Executive who supervised me. And while I really enjoyed the association with the public relations agency, I yearned to do some real PR-ing. That’s when I was geographically drawn into the nearby Carpet Capital of the World. I soon developed a specialization in the interior design and architecture community by building the first in-house public relations function for two of the world’s leading carpet manufacturers, where I managed the companies’ strategic communications around product, innovation and environmental and thought leadership.
Now my public relations practice is situated at the intersection of contract interiors and sustainability. My client portfolio includes furniture manufacturers, an architectural glass designer, a cork and bamboo flooring manufacturer, a fabric supplier as well as the odd project that takes me out of my professional niche and into one of my personal passions such as travel, technology or politics.
